About

Kristyna Bajgarova

I am a CBT therapist in training, currently in the 4th year of a 5-year training. My journey in mental health includes a degree psychology and research experience at the National Institute of Mental Health in Czechia and at the University of Oxford, where my focus was on understanding cognition in depression. I have an MSc degree (Distinction) in Clinical Mental Health Sciences at UCL, researching the use of Virtual Reality Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for treating anxiety and depression. Additionally, I am trained in mental health crisis intervention and mindfulness coaching. I have also co-founded an EA Mental Health Program.

I've been assisting clients for 3 years (around 1800 hours of individual sessions), employing evidence-based methods derived from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Mindfulness. I strive to establish a secure and accepting space for my clients, ensuring a setting filled with empathy and understanding. But my approach is also practical and result-oriented, focusing on guiding clients effectively towards finding solutions. As a therapist in training, I am a candidate member of the Czech Association for Psychotherapy.
